Lisa has worked at the Alliance since 2017; prior to this, Lisa spent fifteen years working in secondary schools. As Deputy Headteacher at Bridgwater College Academy, Somerset’s first all-through Academy, Lisa led on whole school behaviour and Academy safeguarding.
In 2015, Lisa was seconded as Acting Vice Principal to lead a failing secondary school in the SW. In just over twelve months the school moved from special measures to be judged as Ofsted ‘Good’.
Lisa has been an Ed-Excel Moderator and she currently delivers the Leading Schools South West NPQML programme.
Wendy has worked at Oldway and for TTSA, since the school was designated as one of the first 100 schools in the country to achieve teaching school status in 2011. Originally from Hull, Wendy relocated to Devon from her university town of Northampton in 2000. She worked for a short time for Devon & Cornwall Police before taking up a post within the School Improvement Team of Children’s Services at Torbay Council. Prior to this she managed advertising and promotion campaigns for the Corporate Affairs & Marketing department of the University of Northampton.
Wendy has always enjoyed working in education and loves that her current role is so varied and has an impact on teaching and learning in Torbay.
Director of Finance
Claire has worked at Oldway Primary School for 7 years and her current role is the Director of Finance across the Trust. The role is varied and has a much wider remit than the title suggests with no two days being the same! Claire believes the Trust is committed to providing a broad and qualitative learning experience to pupils with lots of extra-curricular opportunities.
Claire is a part qualified accountant and has worked in finance in the public sector for over 30 years. Her daughter attended Oldway School before progressing to secondary and her main hobby is horse riding.
