SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT PARTNER 
Deborah Wring 

 

Deborah Wring has been working with Torbay Teaching School Alliance as School Development Partner since 2018.  She has been inspecting primary and secondary schools for over seventeen years and has held senior leadership posts in two secondary schools, with responsibilities for pupils’ achievement, teachers’ professional development, primary transition and safeguarding.  

 

An experienced school improvement consultant, Deborah is a school improvement partner for eleven primary and secondary schools in England and two all-through schools in Thailand.  She leads whole school reviews with senior leadership teams and coaches teachers and leaders in evaluating the effectiveness of the curriculum and its implementation.  She is involved in quality assuring the work of other external reviewers through reading reports and evaluating their professional practice in schools. 

 

Deborah has significant experience in inspecting and supporting international schools in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and the Middle East.  In addition, she has designed and led training for inspectors and school principals overseas.  Deborah is a specialist in Latin and English and has taught and examined French to GCSE level. She specialised in languages for students with special educational needs through her teaching and as Chief Examiner of Entry Level French. 

 

Her work with schools includes, but is not limited to: school self-evaluation; school improvement planning; middle leadership; curriculum development; and, safeguarding guidance.
